About Me
I’m Amy, the owner and founder of Happy Hounds Hotel, and a qualified veterinary nurse with years of experience in animal healthcare.
I’ve combined my professional training with my love for dogs to create a boarding experience that prioritises wellbeing, safety, and comfort.
Inspired by my own dog Tammy, I built this space to offer dogs the same standard of care I’d want for her.

Happy Hounds Hotel was built with love, history, and a deep passion for dogs. Our luxury boarding facility is more than just a place for your pet to stay it’s a space filled with warmth, care, and a family legacy.
The building we lovingly converted into our kennels once belonged to my late grandfather. In the early 2000s, it was home to his pack of Harrier hounds, who he adored. An animal lover through and through, he had a saying that still makes us smile today: “They’re not howling, they’re making music.”
Naming our business Happy Hounds Hotel felt like the perfect way to honour my grandparents keeping their love for animals alive in every wagging tail and happy bark that fills our days.
